Hey, I'm Clíodhna
For over 30 years I have played on concert stages, studied with wonderful teachers across Europe, and fallen head over heels for the timeless beauty of Celtic music. But here’s the thing: what lights me up most is not the technique or the accolades. It is the connection — to sound, to self, and to that spark inside the music that makes us feel alive.
I started The Celtic Cello Club because again and again I met cellists who were stuck. They were skilled, dedicated, often classically trained… but still longing for something more.

What they didn’t need was another set of rules. What they did need was permission to play.
That’s exactly what the Club is: a space to explore, to get curious, to follow your ear, and to let your cello sound like you. No pressure. No proving. Just music that feels good in your hands and in your heart.
So whether you’re returning to the cello after a long break, or you simply know it’s time to play in a different way, you are welcome here.
Music isn’t just about precision. It’s about presence. And when you come back to that… everything opens up.
